Tim Klappe has worked in the graphics arts industry in the Asia Pacific region for more than 27 years. He has worked in several countries for Heidelberg, set up Manroland in Indonesia and managed the HP channel partner in the Philippines. Before joining MPS Systems at the end of 2017, Tim was responsible for OneVision software in Asia Pacific, providing specialized workflow solutions for label and other printing applications. Tim is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and is tasked with setting up sales and service for MPS Systems in the Asia Pacific Region.

A familiar face in the conference, Supachai is a seasoned technical speaker at the Asian Packaging Conference sine 2004. Supachai has been with Flint Group for 17 years and today serves as Technical Director for the Asia Pacific region. From 2012 to 2018, he was the director of the Thai Packaging Association. Supachai also guest lectures at printing and packaging courses at several universities across Asia.

Thayer joined NPES (now called APTech, the Association for Print Technologies) in April 2016, bringing eight years of effective leadership experience in all aspects of association management including strategic plan development, trade show management, government affairs, education and foundation work. With nearly 20 years of association experience, Thayer previously served as Executive Vice-President and CEO of the Independent Electrical Contractors. He directed IEC’s robust policy and advocacy program, as well as the organization’s public relations program, conferences and national tradeshow, and industry publications. Prior to IEC, Thayer served as President and CEO of the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) which he joined from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

Andy has been in the industry for 20 years. 12 years ago he started working for EFI, managing EFI’s Fiery business with Xerox in the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries. Following many years of market-share growth and success with EFI in Europe, Andy moved to Japan in 2014 to head EFI’s Fiery business in Asia Pacific including China and India, and he was responsible for managing a team of Sales and Pre-Sales Technical people covering the local and regional HQ businesses with EFI’s Alliance partners such as: Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, and Fuji Xerox. In 2017 Andy was given overall responsibility for all EFI’s businesses and product range, including display graphics printers, textiles, ceramics, building materials, and corrugated including the revolutionary Nozomi C18000 press, as well as EFI’s Productivity Software business. Seeking a new challenge, Andy joined Kornit in February 2019 and he is currently the President for Asia Pacific of the whole Kornit portfolio. Kornit focuses on Digital textile printing solutions for the garment, apparel and textile industries.

With over 40 years experience in the printing industry, Steve has been involved at the leading edge of most of the technologies that have transformed the industry over that time, particularly from the graphic reprographics side. Over the last decade he has been involved in the packaging sector with Kodak flexographic plate technologies that are benefiting both the brand and the printer, which as a result is transforming the quality expectations of flexographic printing to a level previously thought to be unachievable. To today where Gravure to Flexographic conversions are now a reality.

Steve is engaged with the Application Development Group of the Kodak Flexographic Packaging division, focusing on Gravure to Flexographic conversions.
