17,000 visitors attended day 1 of virtual.drupa

Virtual.drupa officially opens its online doors. According to organisers, the event has already been visited by around 17,000 registered visitors from 155 nations. The online edition of mega trade show drupa will be happening from now till 23rd April.

The international participation of exhibitors and visitors underlines the importance of the virtual event. The first day of the show already recorded 222,000 page impressions from all over the world; 7,500 visitors took part in the conference programme alone.

“We are pleased that the interaction within the community has started so positively. The impressive range of valuable knowledge transfer in the Conference Area and the Exhibition Space, as well as the exchange with business partners via matchmaking in the Networking Plaza, are being excellently received,” said Sabine Geldermann, Director Print Technologies of the virtual event’s first day.

Messe Düsseldorf added that there has already been 660 minutes of discussion in the conference area and 930 minutes of live web sessions. There are 212 exhibitors from 45 countries that are taking part in exhibition and matchmaking component of virtual.drupa.

Opening the event was drupa President Claus Bolza-Schünemann. His opening speech remains on the front page of the virtual.drupa website. Following his speech, the presentations by speakers, partners, associations and exhibitors followed. The presentations revolve around the topics of “Artificial Intelligence” and “Circular Economy” as well as the latest innovations on the market. On Friday, the conference will include the additional topics of “Connected Consumer” and “Platform Economy”.
