Messe Düsseldorf announced that drupa will stick to its four-year cycle, dropping previous plans to adopt a three-year phase from its 2016 edition.
The next drupa is slated to happen in Düsseldorf from Tuesday, 23 June, to Friday, 3 July 2020.
The decision was made upon feedback from current exhibitors.
“The current drupa, with its outstanding business deals and positive atmosphere really stands out and has made one thing perfectly clear: “Its USP are the production lines and are in full operation here,” said Werner M. Dornscheidt, president & CEO, Messe Düsseldorf.
Dornscheidt added that current exhibitors have expressed continued interest to invest in drupa in the future as their leading international industry platform.
Approximately 200,000 visitors from 183 countries have visited drupa since day one of the event. The percentage of visitors from throughout the world has also been high so far; 78% counts as international visitors.
"Therefore, in the interest of our customers and international markets, drupa will stick to its 4-year cycle.”
drupa will, however, retain the shorter duration of eleven days for future editions.
There are 1,837 exhibitors from 54 countries at drupa, showcasing solutions across 19 exhibition halls.
