- Print Innovation Asia
Indoplas, Indopack and Indoprint 2016 Opens Today

From 7 to 10 September at Jakarta International Expo, the synergistic tri-sector exhibitions for the plastics, packaging and printing industries will feature new technology, innovative equipment and solutions across all three sectors.
Jointly organised by Messe Düsseldorf Asia and partner PT. Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI), the exhibition is shaped after three globally trade fairs in plastics, packaging and printing: K, interpack and drupa, organised by Messe Düsseldorf, Germany.
Over the course of four days, 400 companies from 20 countries will be present at the exhibition. 60% of exhibitors will be from overseas.
“The international market players participating at the exhibition make up some 60% of exhibitors, with most of them coming from China, Germany, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand. This is a testament to the exhibition’s growing international dimension, and the continued business interest and growth potential of Indonesia and the region,” said Gernot Ringling, managing director, Messe Dusseldorf Asia.
This year’s edition expects more than 20,000 trade visitors.
The exhibitions are a unique platform for global companies to boost activities in the Indonesian market and to gain special insight into the emerging growth sectors in Indonesia and surrounding markets. Visitors can expect cutting-edge plastics technology, creative packaging and processing solutions and innovative printing applications to serve the full supply chain of the three industries.
“Over the years, the exhibition continues to develop its showcase with the best from the plastics, packaging and printing industries, and exceed expectations with its healthy exhibitor and visitor participation,” added Ringling.
Visitors can expect innovative solutions from renowned brands including Heidelberg, Kraiburg TPE, Maguire Products Asia, Honda Logistics, Contitech Print Service, Mosca Asia, Beijing Daheng Image Vision, Sweet Industries India, and many more.
On the domestic front, local exhibitor participation has also seen a positive increase: “Home-grown Indonesian brands such as Bilplast Grapindo as well as Eka Maju Mesinindo and Samafitro will also be exhibiting at INDOPLAS and INDOPRINT respectively. We are heartened by the interest coming from local companies, and we are certain that the exhibition this year will bring even more opportunities for local businesses to network, and learn more about the industry and close even more business deals, as well as for trade visitors to source new products,” said Rini Sumardi, managing director, WAKENI.
Henky Wibawa, executive director of the Indonesian Packaging Federation (IPF), added that Indonesia’s packaging industry will benefit from the exhibition in identifying new and relevant technology that will help the domestic market further their expertise and meet the rising demands of the consumer goods, and food and beverage sectors.
Beyond the impressive exhibitor line-up, Indoplas, Indopack and Indoprint 2016 will be a knowledge-information exchange platform for the industries they serve with a series of concurrent conferences and seminars that include topics on food safety packaging, digital printing for labels and packaging, and smart packaging solutions.
