manroland Beijing celebrates first anniversary

manroland web printing equipment (Beijing) Co. Ltd. officially opened its doors one year ago in the Chinese market.

During the last months, the new market organisation in China has helped to handle two press installations at two printing facilities in Beijing. A commercial press was recently installed in Beijing, followed by an installation of the new digital finishing system FormerLine.

manroland added that there are currently ongoing negotiations on further press projects with Chinese customers.

Expanding and establishing a fast and broad service offering has been one of the goals of the new market organization. Throughout the first months, several challenging projects could be realised for e.g. press relocations in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, press audit contracts and upgrades and retrofits.

According to the company, the strong presence and reliability of the new arm has attracted printers with competitor presses to ask for support. First orders for third party press service have been placed successfully and will soon be introduced to the public.

At this year’s China Print, manroland organized an event for customers from all over China to introduce new strategic approaches and business models for the future. In the course of this event, the organisation also took the opportunity to have discussions and share experiences with its customers. In doing so, not only innovations from web offset printing and service offerings will be introduced but also numerous new business fields of manroland web systems, like e.g. packaging printing or highlights like the manroland web STORE.
