Based in Taiwan, Happy Print Digital Painting Co., has successfully embraced innovation and new opportunities available. The company has the only digital UV inkjet device in Taiwan that can print transparent ink.
Happy Print has evolved from offering standard printing to being able to offer customers an exciting range of new printing applications. As part of its push to adopt new ideas, the business has been able to diversify its client base.
As a result, they have grown their services and profits and now offer clients custom solutions on leather bags, leather chairs, acrylics, balloons, coasters, display racks, lamp shades and even props for movie sets.
Hong Jilong, general manager, said shortly after their EFI printer, the EFI VUTEk GS3250LX Pro UD, was up and running, they received an order from a European airline to print on leather.
“Only the EFI printers and EFI’s patented inks passed the wear-resistance tests carried out by the airline,” said Hong. “Our turnover has doubled in the first half of 2018, compared to 2017. There is no doubt the market is currently prospering and the future is bright.”
EFI inspires to push boundaries
The sky really is the limit in today’s printing sector. Advances in technology combined with investment and innovation by market leaders mean it is now possible to print on anything. Whether it’s wood, ceramics, fabrics, board, tiles or plastic, it’s all possible with the right equipment, ink and software.
As more and more printing businesses take up the opportunity to diversify, expand and push the boundaries a new and exciting concept, The Imaging of Things, is supporting creativity and innovation in the print sector.
The Imaging of Things, www.ImagingofThings.com, is an innovative site established by EFI highlighting the ideas, inspiration and applications created by print technology.
It’s an online community for other print-loving professionals. Use it to share work, to look for inspiration and at the same time, inspire others in the industry to be great and push the boundaries of innovation.
Andy Yarrow, director for APAC, EFI said the website is an exciting development for EFI and is designed to showcase the incredible work happening in the sector.
“As our industry evolves, so too are client bases. Being able to print on anything was previously very difficult and often incredibly expensive,” Yarrow said. “The growth in EFI’s printing technology has allowed many printers to diversify and offer new ways of printing to new and existing clients."
“EFI’s Imaging of Things website is giving our customers a platform to showcase their capabilities on a global scale. We are seeing customers in Asia reach out to printers in the US to print a particular image or product and vice versa. It’s also a fantastic learning and development resource. You really are never too old to learn.”
