Japan Pulp & Paper acquires Spicers in Southeast Asia

Japan Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. announces the acquisition of the Singapore and Malaysian arm of Spicers Paper.

 

According to Print21, JP will pay Spicers SGD$15m for the Singapore and Malaysia business.

 

The Japan Pulp & Paper is a paper and paperboard distribution network with 87 overseas sites in 22 countries.

 

Through the acquisition of these new subsidiaries, the company aims to raise its presence in the paper distribution industry in both countries.

 

The deal is expected to close at the end of November 2018.
