Kinyosha Co., Ltd is a Japanese industrial printing company. According to the company website, Kinyosha is a manufacturer of printing rubber rollers and blankets.

Uteco first introduced the Kodak Stream-powered Sapphire Evo in June 2018 as a production inkjet printing option using water-based inks at high speeds. The first unit was sold to Italy’s Nuova Erreplast.

“The adoption of this hybrid digital web press is showcasing the value of digital printing with water-based inks on flexible substrates for a wide variety of applications including food packaging and personal care items such as diapers. The combined knowledge of Uteco and Kodak has unleashed the possibilities and customers have taken notice,” said Aldo Peretti, CEO of the Uteco Group.

The Uteco Sapphire EVO is a hybrid digital web press with a 650mm web width, a 622mm print width and 2,530mm repeat length. It has speeds of up to 300m/min and is targeted at users producing up to 20m/sqm per annum. The press is able to print on a wide range of plastic films and paper. The configuration is customized, and can include flexo and gravure printing units, additional spot colours and inline lamination.
