The new 430 mm Domino N617i combined with MPS flexo technology will be launched at Labelexpo Europe.
MPS and Domino are set to launch a wider version of their successful hybrid MPS EF SYMJET press. Coming in a width of 17” / 430 mm, the new Domino N617i unit is fully integrated in the established MPS EFA flexo platform.
At Labelexpo Europe 2019, the new press combination will be shown for the first time.
The Domino N617i is based on our proven N6-series ink jet product range; but has been designed exclusively for MPS. We are delighted that MPS is showcasing this solution at Labelexpo. The first N617i based MPS EF SYMJET deliveries are being scheduled from January 2020,” Louise Adcock, Global Commercial Product Manager at Domino Digital Printing Solutions.
Visitors to Labelexpo can enjoy live demonstrations of the press in the MPS booth 11C20.
Hans Poortinga, manager of the MPS Technology & Expertise Centre commented: “The press will be equipped with five flexo stations, digital cold foil, a Kurz cold foil unit for single images and optical effects, lamination and die-cutting. We will show the most unique and impressive label applications. MPS’ goal is to push the limits of flexo and ink jet printing and converting”.
Domino and MPS first introduced their partnership, launching the first hybrid EF SYMJET press at Labelexpo Europe 2015.
The MPS EF SYMJET press is now available in 340 mm/ 13” and 430 mm / 17” widths, and can be equipped with multiple flexo units, lamination and embellishing units, die-cutting and many more converting options.
Atze Bosma, CEO of MPS: “Productivity is one of our focus processes that extends Beyond the Machine. With the new 17” width, we are offering our customers higher productivity, more flexibility and the possibility to open new markets and even more options for applications.”
