Pack Print International 2019 officially opens doors
The four-day exhibition is happening at BITEC in Bangkok, Thailand from now till 21 September.
Opening its doors this morning at BITEC, Bangkok is Pack Print International (PPi) 2019. Holding the theme ‘Shaping the future of packaging and printing in Asia’, the event is a tripartite collaboration between Messe Dusseldorf Asia, the Thai Packaging Printing Association and the Thai Printing Association.
“We started out as an idea over a decade ago, between Messe Dusseldorf Asia and our two partners, the Thai Printing Association and Thai Packaging Association, to provide an international business platform for the packaging and printing sectors to propel the local industry forward, and to link global companies to Thailand,” said Gernot Ringling, managing director for Messe Dusseldorf Asia.
Also open for visitors are co-exhibitions, T-Plas 2019, wire and Tube Southeast Asia. The exhibitions are expected to welcome 30,000 trade visitors, with 30% from outside of Thailand.
According to Ringling, they are expecting the show to do even better than its 2017 edition, which was the record year of visitors for PPi.
Guest-of-honour Dheerayut Varnitshang, Thailand’s vice minister for industry graced the opening ceremony with a speech highlighting “Thailand 4.0”, which is growing Thai innovation in the manufacturing sectors.
PPi will showcase global packaging and printing innovations by over 300 companies from 25 countries. Visitors to the exhibition can expect innovations in areas such as package printing, corrugated printing and packaging, digital printing large format printing, flexible packaging, amongst others.

3. HP Indigo Digital Print Pavilion
4. The Southeast Asian launch of Canon Oce Colorado 1650
