Alon Bar-Shany leaves HP
HP Indigo’s general manager and global face Alon Bar-Shany will be leaving the company after 25 years at its helm. HP has additionally confirmed that Bar-Shany has left the company.
Bar-Shany has been a critical part of the HP Indigo, taking over from Indigo founder, Benny Landa. He has been responsible for HP’s Indigo’s worldwide digital printing portfolio including commercial, publishing, label, folding carton, flexible packaging, and other digitally printed products.
An anonymous source told Israeli tech news portal Calcalist that Bar-Shany left HP in opposition to the company’s plan to do massive layoffs in its Israeli division as part of its restructuring.
Taking over Bar-Shany’s role effectively immediately is US-based Haim Levit, who most recently lead worldwide go-to-market for HP’s industrial graphics. Levit will be moving to Israel for his new role.
