First Messe trade fair since onset of Covid19 concludes

The first trade fair to run at the Düsseldorf Messe Centre since the city lifted Covid-19 lockdown has concluded. Caravan Salon ran from 4th to 13th September and pulled in a total of 107,000 visitors. Although the visitorship was 50% less than previous years, it is still a considerable number due to current ongoing situation of Covid-19.
The postponed drupa is slated to be held at the same venue in April 2021. The Messe Centre introduced hygiene and safety measures which includes mandatory masks, frequent cleaning and sanitising, and social distancing.
“With 107,000 visitors the Caravan Salon sends an important signal for the entire trade fair industry in Germany and Europe. The world’s most important trade fair for caravanning convinced with its well thought-out hygiene and infection protection concept,” said Erhard Wienkamp, Managing Director Messe Düsseldorf.
The exhibition turnout signals positivity for the trade show and event industries. In addition to the April 2021 exhibition, drupa recently announced a virtual show leading up to the actual event.
