HP to launch new print subscription plan

HP Inc. unveiled a host of new offerings at this year’s HP Reinvent, the company’s global partner event. The event, with the theme 'Innovation for the Future of Work', circled around the hybrid workplace and keeping it productive, connected and secure. Amongst the new offerings is HP Managed Print Flex, a subscription-based printing plan.

With the transition to hybrid work, organisations are now required to adopt a new approach not just to where and how employees work, but also to their IT and print infrastructure. As a result, there is a rapid shift to cloud services.

In response to these evolving dynamics, HP announced a printing solution with automatic supplies delivery, next business day service, and embedded security and productivity solutions.

HP Managed Print Flex is a cloud-first Managed Print Service (MPS) subscription plan. It aims to help businesses optimise costs by simplifying management, improving productivity, and delivering flexibility to scale or customise as business needs change.

This light-touch managed service makes it easy for businesses to worry less about printing and focus more effort and budget towards growing the business.

HP Managed Print Flex offers channel partners an especially compelling opportunity to grow predictable print revenue and profit without complexity and risk through upfront revenues on hardware, resell and commission options, add-on solutions and service subscriptions, shorter sales discussions and more.

HP Managed Print Flex is currently being piloted with select resellers and customers in the US, UK and Germany. It is expected to become widely available in Spring 2022.
